Terms

mycrapapp.bingo (“the site”, “we”) is run by the operator of mycrapapp.bingo, based in Perth, Western Australia. It is a paid directory of apps, websites and side projects. You pay a listing fee to have your app shown on the current round's card.

Attached to the directory is a promotion: at the end of each round, half of that round's pot is paid to the three listings with the most votes from the public. It is not a lottery, raffle or sweepstake. No part of the outcome is decided by chance, and nothing you can buy on the site increases your chance of winning other than having an app people choose to vote for.

It is not a charity or fundraiser. Listing fees and boosts are payments to us for a service and a promotion; they are not donations and are not tax-deductible.

• You must be at least 18 years old to list an app, boost the pot, vote, or receive a prize.
• Anyone eligible may list and vote, but prizes cannot be paid to residents of the following US states: Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Louisiana, Maryland, Montana, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Vermont; or to anyone in any country or territory where prize competitions with a paid entry are prohibited, or where we cannot legally send money (including countries under Australian or US sanctions). The promotion is void where prohibited.
• You're responsible for checking that taking part is legal where you live.
• We, and anyone who helps run the site, may list apps for fun but cannot receive prizes.

• The listing fee is $10 USD per app, per round. It buys one listing on one round's card, which runs for 14 days. Relisting in a later round is a new fee.
• Every listing is checked by a human before it appears. We aim to do this within a day. If a round is in its last 48 hours when your listing is approved, it may be placed in the next round instead.
• You must own the app or have the owner's permission to list it. The person who pays for a listing is the entrant for that listing, and is the only person a prize for it can be paid to.
• You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display your listing's name, description, screenshot, confession and link on the site and in posts promoting the site, for as long as the site runs. You keep ownership of everything you submit.
• Promo codes (for free listings) are at our discretion and carry no cash value.

We can refuse or remove any listing. We will, without exception, for:

• malware, phishing, scams, or links that aren't what they say they are;
• adult content, gambling, or anything illegal where the site or the viewer is;
• hate, harassment, or content targeting a real private individual;
• impersonating someone else, or listing an app that isn't yours without permission;
• screenshots or text containing personal information about other people.

Self-deprecating humour about your own app is encouraged. Punching at anyone else's isn't.

• Voting requires signing in with Google or GitHub. Each person gets 3 votes per round, at most one per app. You can move a vote while the round is open. There are no downvotes.
• One person, one account. Using multiple accounts, bots, scripts, paid vote services, or vote-swapping schemes is vote manipulation.
• Asking your friends, followers and community to vote for you is fine, and is the point.
• Vote counts are hidden for the final 48 hours of each round. Rankings stay visible.

Anyone can add money to the current round's pot with a boost. A boost buys nothing else: no entry, no votes, no placement, no advantage for any listing. Boosts are not refundable and are not donations. Your display name and message (if you give one) are shown publicly.

• The pot for a round is every listing fee and boost paid into that round, plus any amount rolled over from earlier rounds. Refunded listings are removed from the pot; disqualified listings' fees stay in it.
• When the round closes, 50% of the pot is awarded to the three live listings with the most votes: 30% of the pot to first, 15% to second, 5% to third. Ties are broken in favour of the listing approved earliest. The other 50% is kept by us to run the site.
• If a round has fewer than 5 live listings when it closes, no prizes are paid and the whole pot rolls into the next round.
• Results are provisional for 72 hours after the round closes while we check the voting. Placings can change during that time if a listing is disqualified.
• After the review, each winner is emailed a claim link at the address used to pay for the listing. You must claim within 30 days; unclaimed prizes are forfeited and roll into a later round's pot.
• We may ask any winner to prove they control the listed app before we pay, for example by placing a code we give you on the listed page, in a file on the listed site, or in the app's public store or repository listing (or another way we agree to). If we ask and it isn't verified within the claim window, the prize is forfeited the same way.
• Prizes are paid in USD by PayPal or bank transfer via Wise, usually within a few days of claiming. We don't cover the recipient's own fees or currency conversion, and we may ask you to confirm your identity and eligibility before paying.
• You are responsible for any tax on a prize in your own country.

We can disqualify a listing — before or during the review — for vote manipulation, fraud, a chargeback on its listing fee, breaking the content rules, or the entrant being ineligible. Our decision after the review is final. A disqualified listing's fee is not refunded and stays in the pot, and the next listing moves up.

• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your full card number.
• If we don't approve your listing, we refund the listing fee in full.
• Once a listing is live, the fee is not refundable, because the service (placement on the card) has been delivered.
• Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer protection law that can't be excluded.

The site is provided as is. We don't endorse any listed app, and you use them at your own risk. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything to do with the site is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months. These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
